| Function | Flt-3L (Fms-related tyrosine kinase 3 ligand) is a protein that plays a role in regulating the survival, expansion and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs), including progenitor cells in both the lymphoid and myeloid lineages. Flt-3L also promotes expansion and differentiation of dendritic cells, NK cells and B cells. Flt-3L is expressed as both membrane-bound and soluble isoforms, both of which initiate signaling through binding to the receptor, Flt3 (CD135/Flk2). |
