Background
Actin is a highly conserved protein that is an essential component of the cytoskeleton and plays an important role in cytoplasmic flow, cell shape determination, cell division, organelle movement, and elongation growth. It is preferentially expressed in plant young and proliferating tissues, floral organ primordia, developing seeds, and developing inflorescences.
